Xbox controller to usb mod

I am not responsible if you break your controller in this process and Im not sure if the driver will work with Vista because ive only tried this with XP

This is a tutorial showing how to convert a ordinary xbox1 controller to a pc usb controller, I know that the 360 already has this compatibility but im not getting a 360 .

The XBOX controller is just a ordinary USB controller with a different plug on the end.

Because im such a cheap ass i added a usb male and female plug in the xbox's dongle.

This is basically all the stuff your going to need:

- xbox controller
- usb extension cable
- soldering iron or gun
- solder
- Stanly knife (dunno if everyone calls it that)
- heat shrink

So step one cut the usb extension cable in half and peel all of the 5 wires, then do the same with the xbox controller and you will notice that there are black, red, green, yellow and black wires on both the xbox controller and the usb cable.
(the usb cable might not have the yellow wire if it doesnt just forget about it)
Now just match em up solder them and put heat shrink on if your like then add some tape over them to tidy em up.
Thats it for the controller now download the driver found here
http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html
install the driver plug in the controller and your pc should recognise it,
have fun with your new xbox usb controller!
